"The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
   The great teacher inspires."
                                 -William Arthur Ward

Welcome to the Teach By Magic tour, where we will introduce you to the innovative new way to inspire your students and keep them engaged in the learning process. Whether you are a school teacher, Scout leader, speaker, nanny, gospel instructor, or librarian you will find something at Teach By Magic that will not only make your job easier, but also much more fun and effective.

Studies by educational researchers suggest that approximately 83% of human learning occurs visually.

10 Percent 35 Percent 65 Percent

Further studies suggest that three days after an event, people retain 10% of what they heard from an oral presentation, 35% from a visual presentation, and 65% from a visual and oral presentation. (appropriately illustrated with pie charts - making it easy to remember)

If your average lesson can increase in effectiveness from 10% to 65% by adding a visual aid just imagine how much more effective it will be if that visual aid is a magic trick that is not only visual, but engaging and captivating as well. You just might have the whole pie!

This is where Teach By Magic comes in.

Magicians from around the globe are preparing special magic tricks designed specifically for different teaching situations. Some are used to motivate students while others are used to illustrate principles, but all of them are easy enough that anyone can learn them. You don’t need to have years of training or even make a stop at the magic shop. These are very basic tricks using stuff you generally already have around the classroom, or at least at home. Although Teach by Magic is geared towards grade school teachers, it is also a valuable resource for anyone in need of a fun and memorable ice breaker, warm up activity, object lesson, or incentive.

For example: Scout leaders, speakers, gospel instructors, trainers, parents, grandparents, babysitters, team leaders, nannies, salesmen, nurses, coaches, managers...OK, let's be honest: Pretty much anyone can benefit from this.

Teach By Magic just recently launched and we would love to get your input and feedback as to how we can make everything about this site what you would like it to be. So to get you started and to show our appreciation for your help, we would like to offer - for a limited time - half-price memberships. So for only $1 a month you can have complete access to the growing library of tricks including access to all the associated printouts.

So, how does it work?

Let's say you are working on a lesson about math. You would log in to your account and search for math. You might see 12 different tricks come up, so you decide to refine that search down to subtraction tricks only. Now there are three. You watch the three videos and decide which trick you like the most and which will fit your lesson the best. You might also base your decision on the difficulty level, or the cost of props, or perhaps the preparation time. Once you have decided on the trick, you simply click "learn this trick," and instantly you can view the full-length explanation of how to do the trick, and any other performance suggestions or tips as well. Depending on the trick there may also be printable material in the form of templates or props or even hand-outs.

It's that simple! So what are you waiting for? Sign up now and make your next lesson amazing!!!!
